Make Way for Ducklings

These are the local ducks. They're well known around Concord and many people who go to White Park feed these friendly animals. In fact, Juliette and I liked feeding them so much that we saved, stockpiled, and froze our leftover bread heels to feed to the ducks this summer. And after one winter, we have a freezer full of bread!

A mother duck and her duckling. She has 8 of them! She must have her hands full with 8 new babies! Isn't that duckling so cute?!

Juliette is clearly very excited! We have been waiting for the ducks to return to the pond for the summer. The last time we saw them were in the late fall last year. Slowly they've been returning.

Feeding frenzy! These ducks are used to having people feed them, they've become so good at detecting who has food so they all flock, without hesitation, to the side of the pond where the action is!

And this is my little duckling.
