There is a great children's book called Have You Filled a Bucket Today? by Carol McCloud. I bought it for Juliette to teach her how to be a good friend. She loves this book and really caught on to the message. The author asks the reader to imagine that everyone in the world has an invisible bucket where they keep all of their good thoughts and feelings about themselves. When your bucket is full, you are happy and feel good. When your bucket is empty, you feel sad and lonely.
You are responsible for filling and emptying a bucket. It can be your own or someone else's bucket. You can choose to become a "bucket filler" or a "bucket dipper". Are you a bucket filler?
"You dip into bucket when you make fun of someone, when you say or do mean things, or even when you ignore someone. Thats being a bucket dipper."

"Bucket filling is fun and easy to do...when you're a bucket filler, you make your home, your school, and your neighborhood better places to be."
