Today I went to my grandmother's house to visit. It was a beautiful spring day so Juliette and I played outside. We toured the old farm land and played near the man-made pond. Juliette was making tiny waves with some sticks when she noticed that several worms had made their way into the water and were now "swimming" at the bottom. Immediatly Juliette demanded that we try to rescue them. The first attempt at saving a worm was a sucess, it was at the shallow end of the pond so all Juliette had to do was reach in. The others would be trickier, they were covered in about three feet of water.
So we searched for the closest thing that would be suitable for such a rescue, ta da! We found an old rusted tennis racket...that was sure to do the trick!
We managed to rescue 8 worms with one fatality.
And after we returned the worms to the dirt, we made necklaces out of hardened vine.
